As part of the Arts in Bushwick SITE Festival, Direct Arts, Rob Peyrebrune, and rustrainfilms

presents three Bushwick short films, followed by a discussion on new media distribution and music

by the Brooklyn-based duo Cloud Chamber.

OYSTER by Treva Wurmfield, 2008 (10 min)

A delightful morsel shot in Bushwick about the disappearance of the delectable mollusk.

 

UNEMPLOYED by Rob Peyrebrune, 2004 (20 min)

Savor the tale of sadly unemployed Walter Elliott, for whom a pot of mac and cheese represents

the high point of his day.

 

L TO CANARSIE by Alice Cox, 2010 (12 min)

Death takes a bite when Raj moves to New York City with his girlfriend Ella, leaving her to come to

terms with her ambivalent ambitions in the unfamiliar neighborhood of Bushwick, itself on the precipice of change.

L TO CANARSIE was made possible with the support of the Brooklyn Arts Council Regrant Program.
