Synopsis:

Jane is a struggling musician in an alternative area of Boston known as Allston who finds out she is a clone. Afflicted by haunting childhood memories and her feelings of alienation in life, her self-discovery starts to unfold after becoming friends with the original, "Jane." Metal fuses documentary elements into the narrative, capturing Allston's diverse cultures and arts and music scene. This communal transience and sense of search in Allston envelopes Jane's story and her coming to terms with her identity as a clone.
